Volunteer Producer: Arts and Culture TV show Arts Alive
Arts Alive TV, in partnership with McMinnville Community Media, and the Arts Alliance of Yamhill County are looking for a Producer to continue the Arts AliveTV's tradition of producing local Arts and Cultural stories.
Producer Role Job Description
Pre-Production
- Conceive and/or identify and locate prospective stories (guests)
- Manage a production team: roster of Hosts to do interviews, film crew: Director, Editor, Social Media presence (Youtube - posting) and Facebook page and email.
- Manage pre-production: contact and schedule guests (stories), select and schedule a host, schedule the film production crew (Director, Camera operator), schedule the film location (MCM studio or a community location).
- Make sure all legal releases and permits are obtained and signed.
Production
Filming the stories: Coordinate and/or assist the Director, film crew, MCM, the host, and the guest to record the Arts Alive story.
Post Production
- Coordinate and/or assist the Editor if post production editing is necessary.
- Distribute the Arts Alive story to MCM for the cable public access TV airing.
- Post the story on social media such as Youtube channel, Facebook, and other sites.
Since 1996 Arts Alive TV has had its mission to enhance and to expand local Arts and Culture, and to educate our community about our vibrant Cultural scene.
All necessary training will be provided by the current producer and McMinnville Community Media, a partner organization of AAYC. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain experience in media production and to be part of a prominent local show.
