Paper Gardens 2026 Creative Writing Contest & Book

Paper Gardens is an annual creative writing contest. Writers who live, work or go to school in Yamhill County are invited to submit original poetry or prose.
Prose categories are fiction or creative non-fiction. Poetry categories are traditional, free verse, haiku/tanka, and poetry of place-Oregon.
- Prose entries: Up to 1000 words. Poetry entries: Up to 40 lines
- Entry fee: $4 per submission for adults. Free for students.
- Judges' selections are published in the Paper Gardens anthology.

Books will be for sale at the event.
Authors published in the Paper Gardens 2026 book will receive a copy of the book and are invited to read their writing. Paper Gardens welcomes family, friends and teachers of the published authors to the celebration.
